I did not really grow up in church so my life changed pretty dramatically when I committed my life to Christ at the age of 19.  While my life certainly has not always been easy since that time, everything good in my life is a result of God's incredible grace, mercy, and love.

In December 2000, God blessed me beyond measure by allowing me to marry my wife Adrienne.  Outside of my salvation, Adrienne is without doubt the greatest blessing that God has ever given me.  In December 2003, God blessed Adrienne and me with our first daughter, Micaela.  When she is not trying to hug every person or animal within a two mile radius, Micaela is a wonderful helper and a huge VeggieTales fan.  In April 2006, God again blessed us with a daughter, Alyssa.  Alyssa loves nothing more than wrestling with her big sister and reading her books.  In September 2007, God blessed us with our son Jonathan.  Jonathan loves nothing more than attacking anything in his territory (the floor) and laughing at his sisters.

After my personal relationship with God and my relationship with my family, my greatest passion is the Church.  The idea that the God of all Creation would entrust the power of His Kingdom to a group of ordinary people like you and me completely amazes me.  Without question, each individual church has its problems - after all it is made up of imperfect people.  Yet, despite all her problems and our imperfections the church remains a nothing less than a group of imperfect followers of Jesus Christ trying to worhsip and serve Him by becoming more like Him.  You may have had great experiences with the Church - so have I.  Or you may have had some really horrible experiences with a church - so have I.  Whatever your experience, my prayer is that you see beyond the imperfections of people to the loving perfection of the God we strive to worship, love, and serve.
